What will you learn?
Spanish for Real Life
We believe the best way to learn Spanish is by actually using it, not just studying it. You'll start by learning to introduce yourself — your name, your family, your likes and interests — and grow from there into free-flowing conversations, asking questions, and expressing your own ideas. Following a natural progression, you'll form full sentences and learn practical vocabulary for talking about people and places, asking for directions, ordering food, and handling other everyday situations. Our goal is to take you from "Hello, my name is..." to confidently communicating and connecting with others in Spanish.
Hands-On Experiences
Learn by Doing
This is where membership really comes alive! We take learning out into the real world: group outings to local restaurants, guest speakers who bring their heritage to life, and hands-on workshops across music, dance, cooking, and more throughout the year. Learning a language doesn't have to feel like studying for a test. Here, we want you to enjoy yourself while you learn — to create, dance, cook, watch, and talk your way through it! That's why we build in fun ways to use your growing vocabulary and expressions as you discover the Spanish-speaking world along the way.
Build Through Connection
Small Groups, Big Opportunities to Speak
We keep our groups small, so you have plenty of time to participate, listen, and speak. Each session gives you the chance to interact with different people, practice what you're learning, and build confidence. This isn't about repeating phrases from memory — it's about putting your new skills into practice, making mistakes, trying again, and discovering that every conversation helps you grow.
At Harbor Spanish Club, Conversar, Crear, Conectar y Cultura come together as one journey — making Spanish an experience you carry beyond the club and into your everyday life.
Clear Progress At Your Own Pace
A Curriculum Designed for Your Level
Your learning has direction. Our structured curriculum builds your Spanish skills step by step, across three levels — Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. You'll move up when you're ready, based on your progress, skills, and confidence, not on a fixed timeline. If something isn't clicking, we're also here with individual support to help you keep moving forward, without ever feeling left behind.

Structured Progress
Learning a language is a journey. Our curriculum moves you forward step by step, with clear progression points every couple of months. Whether you're just starting out or already comfortable speaking, each step is a chance to grow and discover something new.
Not Your Ordinary Classroom
This is where membership really comes alive. We regularly take learning out into the real world — group outings to local restaurants, where you order, chat, and navigate everyday Spanish in person; featured guest speakers who bring their own heritage and traditions to life; special events like piñata-making workshops; and other real-world opportunities to put your Spanish into practice. It's this hands-on, out-in-the-world approach that sets Harbor Spanish Club apart from a typical class.
Advanced Learners Welcome
Fluency is just one part of the journey. Even confident speakers often find there's more to explore — like brushing up on reading or writing for someone who grew up speaking Spanish but never learned to read or write it or sharpening formal grammar for work, school, or a certification. It's also a chance to connect — meet new friends, or perhaps learn together with your family.
Small Groups
At 8 students max, class sizes stay small, so you get real speaking time and genuine attention — but you're never learning alone. Being part of a small group means engaging with different people and different perspectives, not just repeating the same one-on-one exchange every time. Whether it's a familiar group or a few new faces, connection is always part of the experience.
